01 — About
Science, Sanskrit, and the whole person.
Kumar Bathala is an Ayurvedic Doctor Level Practitioner based in Austin, TX, with a background that weaves together science, technology, Sanskrit, Yoga, and Ayurveda in a way that is rare and deeply integrated.
He has received extensive training in Ayurveda and Nadi Pariksha (Pulse Assessment) from renowned Vaidyas in India and the United States, and practices Ayurveda through Sri Sri Tattva. His clinical work is grounded in both rigorous training and a genuine passion for understanding the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.
Kumar's journey into holistic wellness began with Yoga, which he has practiced for over 15 years and taught for more than 10. That foundation naturally deepened into Ayurveda — the two, after all, are inseparable. Today he teaches Yoga and Meditation programs through the Art of Living Foundation and the Sri Sri School of Yoga, bringing the same warmth and depth to his teaching that he brings to his clinical practice.
He is also passionate about passing this knowledge on — tutoring students enrolled in Ayurvedic Studies Programs, and mentoring the next generation of practitioners.
"True health is not just the absence of disease — it is a living, breathing harmony between who we are and how we live."
